Zhanaözen or Noviy Uzen (Kazakh: Жаңаөзен; Russian: Новый-Узен) is a town in Kazakhstan located south-east of Aqtau city. The population is 51,100 (1999 census). The absolute location of Zhanaözen is latitude 43°18′0″N, 52°48′0″E.
