Zgharta District

Zgharta District (Arabic: زغرتا) is a district (qadaa) of the North Governorate, Lebanon.
The district is made up from the capital Zgharta and a number of small villages. It spreads from near the coast up into the high mountains. Ehden is the summer place where the citizens of Zgharta live during the summer. The majority of the population in Zgharta district are Maronite Christian Catholics, with minority of Christian Greek Orthodoxe and Sunnit muslims and others.
