Contents

[edit] Overview

The game is set in post-WWII Germany. The player takes the role of either Kia Welbehenna or Louise Hardwich, members of an agency. The two are assigned to specific targets, which range from members of the KGB to aspiring soccer players. The primary goal is to seduce the said targets.

[edit] Gameplay and Design

Game interaction is extremely limited, as Absolute Obedience is a visual novel. Most of the game consists of reading text and seeing stationary artwork, most of which is yaoi-themed. The English release also uses the original Japanese voices.

Player input is limited to, at a few junctions in the story, the ability to choose one of two paths. However, these choices do not give the player the ability to truly affect the storyline. The primary goal is to fullfill the client's requests and complete the mission.

In order to obtain a good ending, the player must select the correct choices in a specific order. Therefore, it is rather difficult to get every ending and every scene without help. Also, each mission is given a grade: A, B, C, or D, D being the worst.

[edit] Characters

[edit] Kia Welbehenna

One of the two main characters in the game. An overly confident youth who is short-tempered and emotional, he's known for mouthing off to others, although he's very smart. He hates guys who try to act cute to get attention. He never falls for other guys, but tries to get them to fall for him instead.

[edit] Targets

Silvio Wenzel. The mysterious thief who disturbs postwar Germany. Actually a considerable man, as a young boy, he visited his grandfather on his deathbed. The client is Simon Hertzsch. A frantic and desperate policeman, wants revenge on Silvio after having one of his officers shot and killed.

Ashraf Ali Ibrahim. Kia's target. An Arab prince who often vacations in Germany. Because he's third in line to take over the Kingdom, he has many enemies. The client is Majd, second in line to succeed, who wants the potential rival out of the way.

Dirk Wahl. A youth known for flying off the handle, he's a charismatic and natural leader of others. Angry at Martin Adenauer for his illegal development downtown. The client is Adenauer himself, who wants to eliminate a roadblock to his real estate development plans.

Jens Lewin. A soccer ace who is moving up in the sport. He's attained his skill at the game through hard work, despite his family's poverty. He has a penchant for taking female fans home after games. The client is his coach, who sees the amazing potential in Jens, but believes he won't be able to go pro until he gives up those girls.

Timo Wilkes. The son of a judge, he rebels against his father's overbearing tendencies by refusing to date girls, and has found a new life as a male prostitute. The client is his father, Wolfgang, who wants him to grow up and find someone to love, even if it's another man.

Eduard Wernicke. A would-be priest with low self-esteem. The client is unknown.

[edit] Louise Hardwich

The alternate main character in the game. Always sure of himself, Louise is very good-looking, but sometimes his big mouth gets him into difficult situations. He's not above acting coy if it will help him get what he wants. He always carries his favorite bull whip wherever he goes. Very charistmatic, and tries to be everybody's friend.

[edit] Targets

Lawless Streich. A blonde-haired military man. His emotions are buried so deeply inside him, he's called the Man in the Mask. The client is Franz Berger, former commander of Lawless, who wants revenge for a betrayal many years ago. He is sexually abused by his current commander.

Werner Herzog. A powerful mafia heir, he loves sharing himself with the many beautiful women around him. The client is Franziska, a high-class prostitute who wants Louise to teach Werner the joy of other men as a practical joke.

Zhores Barsoukova. A Russian spy who's known for his coldness, he works for the KGB and secretly sends information back to his home country. Client is Reiner Muller, a German who works for England's SIS and has had valuable information stolen by Zhores in the past.

Hagen Haller. The client is Berti Schneider.

Ferdinand Marienfield. The clients are his maids.

Anel Metzelder. The client is Joachim Basler.

[edit] Gallacher Morlock
