Zeros & Heroes is Clawfinger's fifth album, released on 26 May 2003.

It offers yet another style change for the ears of the listener. The electronic sound and synthesizers from A Whole Lot of Nothing are all but gone and replaced by a more complex and melodic guitar riffing. With this fifth major release Clawfinger proves that it can make the music change, evolve, while maintaining its essence. The guitar sound is very carefully worked and it's obvious directly from the first listening sessions that a lot of effort went into the flow and structure of the melody.

Again, Clawfinger's lyrical prowess is back at work, bringing forward all the usually hidden and ignored defects of the human world. One important thing to note is the Step Aside song, which showcases a very controversial lyrical content and slams the post 9/11 (and not only) military politics of the US. Clawfinger's acid way of telling the truth didn't do them any good in attracting critical praise, especially across the ocean. Any person that knows what Clawfinger are actually about also knows that they never were one of those bands that only write lyrics so they don't shut up on the stage.

Clawfinger is a band that has something to say and they say it straight out on all their releases, including Zeros And Heroes. The title track also presents a great lyrical content, full of respect towards the unseen and underestimated elements of everyday society, the hard workers. Melodies like "When Everything Crumbles" and The Point of No Return enjoy a very melodic approach and together with songs like Bitch, Four Letter Word and Kick It, Clawfinger's 2003 album offers an unprecedented lyrical and musical diversity. The album is an offering of 12 melodies and 3 bonus tracks on the limited edition. The band also issued a single (detailed below) and the Recipe For Hate video in two variants.

Originally Clawfinger hired a compagny to take care of their clip of this single, which is the one still mainly aired on television. However, Clawfinger was not entirely satisfied with the work of the compagny, so Jocke Skog created a new edit of the clip, removing the cinematic elements and keeping on the scenes which show the band playing. This new version of the clip is available for download on the Clawfinger website.
