Zero Chou, 周美玲

Zero CHOU (Chinese: 周美玲; Pin Yin: Zhou Meiling) (Born in Keelung, Taiwan in 1969) is the director of the Taiwanese movie "Spider Lilies", (Ci qing)/ Chinese: [1]刺青) the winner of the 2007 Teddy Bear Award for Best Gay/Lesbian Film at the Berlin Film Festival.

Ms. Chou earned a B.A. in Philosophy. She entered into filmmaking because of her attraction to the combination of content and form. She has been heralded as the most talented document director in the recent years of Taiwan. She has also received various festival awards around the world for films including Black Name (1999), A Film About the Body (1996), Floating Islands-Before the Radiation , Poles Extremity (2002), and Timewalker (2003).
