[edit] Image licenses
About those images you uploaded... they need to have specific information about their copyright status, or else they may be deleted from Wikipedia. In the case of Image:Manila Bay.PNG, it seems that you made it yourself. The best thing you could do, from Wikipedia's point of view, is to release it under the GFDL (under the licensing section, put "{{GFDL-self}}"). That would basically mean that anyone can use and modify the image freely, even for commercial purposes, but you will always retain credit for it. As for Image:MoA Top.PNG, you apparently got that from SkyscraperCity. I go to SSC too, but you need to get permission from the author of the image. Preferrably permission to release it under the GFDL also. --Coffee 19:23, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Greenland
Hello, your article on the Coat of Arms of Greenland seems to have been copied from another website. If this is what happened, please don't do this. Copyright violations are illegal for Wikipedia to have. If you've done this before, please remove that text. If this isn't what happened or the text was public domain, sorry for the inconvenience. [edit] Yu-Gi-Oh! first series anime
Did they really air Toei Animation's first series in the Philippines? If so, does the channel that aired it have a page about Yugi and the gang? WhisperToMe 04:06, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, in ABS-CBN (2003), Studio 23(2004) And Hero TV (2005),but they didn't put up a site but try to check here for info --Zerwell 12:34, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Also, is the Yu-Gi-Oh! original manga officially translated in the Philippines? WhisperToMe 04:08, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe in some part/changes of English translation --Zerwell 12:34, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
As for the Anime News Network page, it looks like the rest of the "languages" information info is incorrect - a lot of users assume this is talking about Duel Monsters when it isn't! WhisperToMe 13:42, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- no, it is really aired here in the philippines and i watched it...--Zerwell 17:17, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
-
- I was commenting about the other entries, though. Was it dubbed into Tagalog? Were the names changed? WhisperToMe 18:13, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
-
- yes, they dubbed it into tagalog. Actually, all the animes shown on local networks were dubbed into filipino (tagalog), and animes from Cartoon Network Philippines and Animax Asia were dubbed into english. And in tagalog version, the names of the anime characters are the original names in japanese, they didn't changed character names. --Zerwell 15:38, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Tip of the day project update
Just trying to get things better organized around there. Toward that end, I've created a task list template for the project. If all the contributors to the project placed it on their user page, we could all keep in touch more easily (with announcements, alerts, etc.). It, and the latest announcements can be found at:

[edit] Copyright violation
Hi. I saw you uploaded Image:Process.PNG and labeled it as a GFDL-released image. However it seems pretty clear that it comes from the BBC. Why have you labeled this as GFDL? Doing so it a complete copyright violation, and could get Wikipedia into serious trouble. --Fastfission 16:17, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Controlcenter.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:Controlcenter.PNG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:Tollgate at Night.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:Tollgate at Night.PNG. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 15:29, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
