Hercules: Zero to Hero is a direct-to-video prequel to Disney's 1997 animated feature Hercules that was released on August 31, 1998, and serves as the pilot to Hercules: The Animated Series. It consist of three segments that would later serve as episodes from the television series, branched together by additional original animation, much in the style of a later direct-to-video Disney sequel, Tarzan & Jane. In particular, it shows his enrollment and beginning of his adventures at the Prometheus Academy, a school for gods and mortals which Hercules supposedly attended prior to his venture off to meet Phil.
