Zephania Mothopeng

Zephania Lekoane Mothopeng (September 10, 1913 – October 23, 1990) was a South African political activist and member of the Pan-Africanist Congress (PAC). Born near Vrede in Free State, he was educated at St. Mary's Anglican School, St Chatswold Training College, and Adams College, and was President of the Transvaal Teachers Association in 1950. Mothopeng served three prison sentences for his anti-Apartheid activism on two occasions, and was released by President F. W. de Klerk in 1989, dying a year later.
