[edit] Cleanup Taskforce
The article, in the musical genre, grime has been added to your desk. Please look at it and accept, reject or let me know and I'll reassign it. Thank you. RJFJR 21:02, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Trivia cleanup note
Here is some helpful tips for you: trivia sections are not always called trivia. They have been called notes, other, miscellanea and so on. If you know a certain subject better than another, work on those trivia sections first. If the note is something obvious about the subject, it probably shouldn't be in trivia (such as Bart Simpson wears shorts). Good job on the cleaning so far. I know the project talk page is full of complaints, but I'm hoping that changes. If you need other help with trivia, feel free to post on my talk page. I will respond as soon as I can. [edit] 'Relationship to other Ten Thirteen Productions shows' on X-Files page
I noticed you removed a lot of the items under 'Relationship to other Ten Thirteen Productions shows' on the X-Files page. I understand this from the point of view of removing trivia, but on the other hand I found it very interesting and handy to have all these connections between the shows listed in one place. Perhaps this warrants it's own page, if we do not want it on the X-Files page? Plain Simple 16:45, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] k.d. lang
please visit the talk page for a question I have raised. also, I confess to bad spelling, but my grammar was indeed correct. thanks!--Tednor 18:46, 19 December 2006 (UTC) You didn't read what I had written very carefully , which i was afraid of, so I've rewritten it in hopes you'll see what I'm saying. I dont' want to judge her performance at ALL, just to say that the character is used as an emotional foil to Judd's character. As such the CHANCE to outshine the star exists, full stop. --4.159.8.165 19:57, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Alien
If someone does a good job I like to compliment them on it. Usually people think that if you just say it got an award then someone will have to take their word on it, and sometimes it's hard to try and find a place that actually lists the awards for a certain venue. Bout the "xenomorph", that's what I said to Seaworldpunk, because the "Alien 3" article kept saying "Alien" when talking about the creature, instead of "alien". Seeing as "alien" isn't it's name but just a general classification for an unknown species, I kept trying to fix all the "Alien" titles. Bignole 00:04, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The X-Files merchandise
I made a mistake. I split the article The X-Files merchandise from The X-Files article but failed to link the original in the edit summary per Wikipedia:Summary style as I thought it meant the reverse. Is there a way to remedy this? - Zepheus <ツィフィアス> 05:17, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think it's actually a big deal. It's visible and easy to reconstruct what you've done. Don't worry about it. Grace Note 05:47, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Just make a dummy edit and put the edit summary in that one. It's not the end of the world. If you have to, just put it on the talk page so others know. -Royalguard11(Talk·Desk·Review Me!) 05:51, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] BART images
Thanks for leaving a note on my talk page, I probably would have missed it otherwise. I'll upload the SFO pic, but I have some alternative interior photos at http://berkeley.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2075625&l=06ba0&id=1230541 ; let me know which one (of the three interior pics) you like best. —lensovet–talk – 19:48, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- The height of those images has to do with the handlebars that i could rest my camera on...there isn't enough lighting in the cars, even when the train was outside, so the shutter speed is too slow...consequently if you don't have a tripod it will be blurry. i don't have a tripod, so i had to resort to just holding it on the handlebars, which are either too low or too high :). I will upload 13 now though. —lensovet–talk – 23:20, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- I presume you have seen the images, but I also realized I had two similar photos of different cars, so people can see the difference between the newer (refurb) and older cars. cheers! —lensovet–talk – 08:05, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- I uploaded new versions tonight of both photos, taken today with a tripod! Let me know what you think. —lensovet–talk – 07:04, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Typo in Japanese name ツィフィアス
ツィフィアス would be pronounced as Tsifiasu
ゼフィアス would be prounounced as Zefiasu (this is the correct transcription) --Inetpup 02:15, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
- You could try (probably in this order):
- ゼィフィアス - ZeIFIASU; note that the 'e' is almost silent so it's pronounced as zi as in 'zee'
- ズィフィアス - ZuIFIASU; note that the 'u' is almost silent so it's also pronounced as zi as in 'zee'
- ヅィフィアス - DZuIFIASU; sounds similar to ズィフィアス but it begins with the /dz/ (IPA ʥ - Voiced_alveolo-palatal_affricate sound). Although ヅィフィアス looks similar to your characters, there is tenten (Dakuten) mark that causes the 'tsu' sound to become a voiced /dzu/ sound
- ジフィアス - JIFIASU; a very sloppy approximation

[edit] Add an Award to the List
Thanks for the help! Great to have such experts here to do that...
What I now see that I should do is add a redirection for the award I want to add to the list -- it's already elsewhere in Wikipedia, the "Distinguished Eagle Scout Award"...
How, please?
PS: 12 Monkeys is very high on my list, too. (Not what it seems...)

Let me know if I can help. - Zepheus <ツィフィアス> 04:19, 13 January 2007 (UTC)" Hey, thanks alot :) .. Okay, I have some ideas on what you could do if you want :) . Um, you could add a longer summary to the episodes that really need it.. Just an idea.. Illyria05 (Talk • Contributions) 22:27, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tiananmen Square self-immolation article and section
Hello, I was just wondering if you would like to share ideas and understandings about the best way to deal with these two items, let's call them. What I think would be best is a short paragraph on the main page and a link to the lengthier article-sized version. Even better would be a way to see the introductory text on the main page somehow "linked" to the version on the article, so it updates whenever the original updates, and so text itself does not actually appear on the main article page when you click "edit", just some code indicating the text's source - do you know what I mean? That, to my mind, would be the best way to get around problems of inconsistent introductory paragraphs. In the other case I would suggest the article be deleted and the section remain by itself on the main page. I do not think it is useful to have a big section on the main page then an article with basically the same content, but with some parts missing, some additions, things here and there. It also requires monitoring of both... I think there are other problems. To a reader it would surely appear odd - one obvious question is whether there is significant new content, or what exactly is going on. One should be clear about what is being presented, and not have to scan through to compare if there is some information missing from one, or if each presents a different narrative of the incident. Anyway, maybe it is clear why it is not practical or a good idea to keep it as it is now. Well, those are just my thoughts, maybe you have different or better ideas about how to sort it out. I will wait to hear back from you before I make a move.--Asdfg12345 05:18, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
Zepheus, the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident page was created by Yenchin and Yueyuen as a draft when they worked together to research and write about the incident. It was never intended to be a separate page. And it has never been treated as a separate page until you came. There are too many daughter pages on the Falun Gong, can we keep this section on the Suppression of Falun Gong page? Thanks. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Samuel Luo (talk • contribs).
I know this is not a democracy, though through discussions we have three people in support of having it on the separate page and one against. The reason for having it on the separate page is basically because of the length. We will be adding more sections to the persecution page, too, so it may get very long if there are not some break away. I think for these nonessential items, like this long section dedicated to one specific incident in the history of the persecution, I think it is better to put it on its own page... Anyway, what do you think, Samuel? I am interested in why you think it's better on the main page, and not on a separate page?--Asdfg12345 21:49, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
