[edit] Permission to use an image is insufficient on Wikipedia

Hi. Please read the message that is displayed when you upload a file. Wikipedia does not accept images for which permission is given to Wikipedia only or which are licensed for non-commercial use. Images must be licensed for "free" use, meaning, that anyone is authorized to use the image for any reason. In the case of images that were not created by the uploader, we need to have documentation on file that Wikipedia has been authorized to use the image. Please see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for more information. Please do not upload the image again unless the terms of use are compatible. Thank you.

If you created this media file and want it to be kept on Wikipedia, remove this message and replace this with {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want it to be used on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may replace this message with one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --BigDT 03:55, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

The first time you uploaded the image, you said it was "Picture courtesy of Ms. Lois Griffith, via e-mail, with permission for use". Please note that image copyrights are taken seriously. If you did not, personally, create the image, it cannot be tagged as {{PD-self}}. --BigDT 04:14, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
