Zayd ibn Umar

Zayd ibn Umar is the father of Said ibn Zayd, a Companion of Muhammad whom Sunni's honour as one of the the Ten Promised Paradise. He is also the uncle of Umar ibn al-Khattab, the future second Sunni Caliph.

He was the son of Umar ibn Nufayl. His mother and grandmother where the same woman (from Fehm tribe known as San'a)), since she married one of her sons after becoming a widow [1].

Zayd ibn Umar had a son who followed the ancient monotheist religion of Abraham, (Arabic: Hanif), however, more sources are needed to determine if the son inherited that religion from his father. The son would eventually be praised by the Sunni Muslims as one of the Ten Promised Paradise.
