Zavolzhsk

Zavolzhsk (Russian: Заво́лжск) is a town in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia, situated at 57°29′N, 42°09′E. Zavolzhsk is one of the towns of the Golden Ring; it is situated on the left bank of the Volga River, about 200 km downstream of Kostroma, 113 km north-east of Ivanovo. Population: 13,455 (2002 Census); 16,530 (1989 Census). It is the administrative center of Zavolzhsky District.
