Zavoloka

Zavoloka is an experimental electronic composer, artist and graphic designer from Ukraine.

In 2003 the label Nexsound released her first free downloadable release Suspenzia, that was the most frequently downloaded piece in the Internet. At the end of 2003 the CD-R I appeared on the american label Zeromoon. Her first full-length CD Plavyna appeared at the beginning of 2005 under the austrian label Laton and under ukrainian label Nexsound. The CD was highly acclaimed and took a Honorary Mention in the most Grammy-like festival in cyber arts Prix Ars Electronica 2005. Collaborates with AGF, german poetess and musician. In 2006 they released the full-length CD Nature never produces the same beat twice on Nexsound. Also Zavoloka collaborates with Kotra and they have CD Wag the Swing, released on ukrainian label Kvitnu in 2006. Zavoloka takes part in international border crossing art project Move with choreographers/dancers Charlotta Ruth, Alexandr Andriyashkin, musician/designer Marcus Hamrin, light-designer Tobias Leira and filmmaker Helle Pagter. Zavoloka performed live-sets on different interenational festivals like Club Transmediale, Detali Zvuku, Being the future, les urbaines, Garage, Unsound, Femmes, Cimatics, Interferenze, Radius, La Nuit Blue and many many others.
