Stephen Goldmeier is my name. My normal website is at http://www.interetc.com . I am formally studying chemistry, physics, education, and law. I study a variety of fields informally, including music, graphic design, comic storytelling, philosophy, theology, film, literature, linguistics, etc.
I currently attend Otterbein College, but I am moving on to law school in the near future. Most of my Wikipedia edits end up being nitpicky details from television shows and fixes for shoddy grammar. But hey, I gotta stick with what I know.

[edit] Comics and Graphic Storytelling
One of my biggest interests is in comics as a medium for telling stories or for expressing themes. The comic medium is not specialized into being a medium for children or the uneducated. Rather, some great literature is in the form of "comic books." Therefore, I spend a good amount of time reading and thinking about comics, both traditional superhero books (to a lesser extent) and graphic novels. I am particularly interested in the indie and alternative comics press, a genre that is as vast as it is varied.
As I read new books, I find that even within the world of alternative comics, there are infinite varieties of storytelling devices. One that has caught my interest recently in particular is the comic strip journal, often consisting of daily entries in comic form. The medium lends itself well to ruminations and daydreams of a life experienced, telling stories in a believable and often intimate fashion.
The independent comic world will always offer me new things to see and explore, and I hope to offer at least some coverage on Wikipedia of the unique and diverse books I read therein.
[edit] Chemistry Experience
I would not call myself proficient in chemistry by any stretch, but I do have a solid background in the subject. I have taken courses in the folliwing areas of chemistry:
- General Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
- Analytical Chemistry (statistics and measurement methods in chemistry)
- Lab Experience (qualitative analysis, organic synthesis, spectroscopy, etc.)
[edit] Physics Experience
Again, my physics experience is varied, but it is not enough to call myself an expert. My background in physics includes:
- General Physics
- Eletricity and Magnetism
- Optics
- Quantum Mechanics
- Lab Experience (computer modeling, data analysis, electronics lab, etc.)
[edit] Education Experience
My degree is, first and foremost, a teaching degree. My certification will be in chemistry and physics, so my teaching experience thus far includes teaching both of these subjects.
- Observed and taught (only a handful of lessons) in a General Chemistry class at Westerville North High School.
- Observed and taught (my own unit, on heat transfer and then waves, for 2 weeks) at Northland High School.
- Student teaching experience (in progress) at Gahanna Lincoln High School.
I also have a lot of clinical and lecture hours in education, varying from educational psychology to special education.
