Zantetsuken is the name of Odin's sword found in (Final Fantasy) video game series.

The name is sometimes translated as "Steel-bladed sword" which is a near direct translation. Since Final Fantasy VIII however, the Japanese name has remained. A more direct translation of the kanji is "Iron-cutting sword" [1].

When Odin utilises this sword, it instantly kills all the player's enemies. This makes Odin a formidable ally.

In Final Fantasy VIII after a scene during a battle with Seifer in Lunatic Pandora, Odin is apparently defeated in a Zantetsuken reversal and his sword is seen being relinquished to Gilgamesh who seems rather unkeen to receive it. Gilgamesh uses the Zantetsuken in other Final Fantasy games as well.
