Zamorano

Zamorano, also known as the Pan American School of Agriculture (Escuela Agrícola Panamericana) is a university located in the Valle of rio Yeguare, in Honduras. It is currently registered in Delaware as a non-profit organization (501-C2).

The school was founded in 1942 by Samuel Zemurray(1877-1961) a Russian born American and president of the United Fruit Company, and the first director was American botanist Dr. Wilson Popenoe (1892-1975).

Zamorano is the most pretigious school of agriculture in Latin America, It is host to students from diverse countries (Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Jamaica, Boliva, Dominican Republic, Paraguay and more).
