Zama Minor (or simply Zama) is an archaeological site in northern Tunisia. On October 19, 202 BC it was a site of the Battle of Zama between Carthage and Roman Republic. The Romans won the battle, thus ending the Second Punic War. It was the only defeat of Hannibal, who was defeated by Scipio. A Roman city was built there a few centuries after the battle.
