[edit] WP Perth?

Welcome - you might find the scope of WP:WA more to your edits - if you are to add many new stubs (as I saw your breaking off the geology from Darling Scarp) it is important to leave a link to the new article- and possibly a precis of the other articles text... Anyways - hope you enjoy life in wikipedia! cheers SatuSuro 14:56, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Btw - very impressed by your crater stubs - excellent - well referenced - however it would do in some of them to have more of a locality as a clarifier in the intro sentence - its meant to be in the arrticle - with no assumption that the reader is going to go further into the links... also if the vagrant issue raising eds ever came across them - that would be their beef probably...

If youre keen I can lead you to a crater article in another state that needs a cleanup... SatuSuro 15:04, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi SatuSuro, just added myself to the WP:WA project as I hope to continue with editing WA articles. There is a link to Darling Fault in the Darling Scarp article, but yes, I should have put a link in the edit summary, and perhaps my reasons on the new article on the talk page. I'm planning to slowly work my way through the crater articles throughout Australia (yes, a lot need work), and some overseas too. More locality info for the general reader is a good idea, I'll work on that. -Zamphuor 15:27, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Good on you - the wa project could do with a hell of a lot more geology work. The locality thing can get overdone - one of those that i was just tagging had 2 sets of coords - totally unnecesary, and basically it needs something like:-

Joes Garage Crater is located on the Muir Highway just 28 km west of Mount Barker, Western Australia. My error was to try merge the Darwin Impact Crater- and Darwin Glass into one last year sometime - they need to prised apart - I wish I could find my piece of darwin glass for a photo! You might (or not) be interested in the West Coast Range and the ancillarry articles for Western Tasmania - a lot of geology stuff needs cleaning up there- anyways, long past bedtime. If youre ever curious - or have any questions - put yourself in the WP WA talk page - most who inhabit the messy talk page are friendly and dont bite - and we are even planning to meet up with Jimbo Wales for breakfast in a months time - you interested? SatuSuro 15:36, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, will look into the possibility of attending Jimbo's breakfast meet. I have some Darwin glass that I could photograph, if you can't find yours, and also know west Tassie well. Been intending to do edits on DG and DC and agree they should be separate. -Zamphuor 15:02, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Yo! When I worked in seismic processing - I used to run the officer basin shell data on re-processing on the ancient timaps at GSI - good to see you started that...!SatuSuro 12:38, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome

Welcome to the WA project! Always great to see new knowledgeable people signing up :) Shout out if you need any help, we have all sorts of odd-subject enthusiasts, I found the community great to draw on when I was getting GAs and FAs happening. Orderinchaos78 12:30, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi Orderinchaos78, and thanks for the welcome. So far I've mainly been editing things relating to geology, but hoping to contribute to other subjects relevant to WA. -Zamphuor 13:20, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Surat Basin

Funny. Whenever I try to view the diff for your edit to Surat Basin, I get an "out of memory in diff" error. Never seen that before. Did you do something outrageously large? Do you see the same error? [1] Hesperian 11:50, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the response. There's no suspicion by the way - you've established yourself as a good faith editor, with me at least. I just like to track the improvement to articles on my watchlist, is all. I'm still getting the error, and I've tried bypassing my cache. Oh well. Hesperian 12:01, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
I'll back up the good faith editor bit of Zamph - - and Hesp is one of ours (ie WA admins) I can vouch for him - so blame the bloody wiki stuff for it!  :) SatuSuro 13:22, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

I've had the happen to me on a talk page a week or so ago. Most likely you will find that your "systematic edit" is a revert to an old version of the article. Hesperian 23:48, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
