[edit] Welcome, Zamkudi!
I'm Riana, and I noticed that you've been here a while, but no-one's given you a proper welcome, so I thought I'd drop you a note. We do have a lot of users, and are currently working on 1,727,798 articles, so things can be a little intimidating... but don't worry! We love to help out, and we'll try our best to make your stay here as comfortable as possible.
Here are a few links I found useful when I first arrived here:-

You should sign your name on talk pages, discussions and votes by typing ~~~~; our software automatically converts it to your username and the date. Also, if you don't want to jump right into editing articles right now, why not check out the sandbox? Feel free to make test edits there.
I know it's a lot of information, but there are two more things I recommend you take note of while editing Wikipedia - cite references wherever possible, and avoid allowing personal biases interfere with your editing.
I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian - I definitely do. Although we all make mistakes, please keep in mind what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or problems, leave me a message on my talk page, and I'll try my best to help. Otherwise, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
We hope you stick around, and make sure you enjoy yourself! Cheers, – riana_dzasta 05:44, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

If you don't like a grammatical style, that's fine, but please note that other people may have preferences for it. "Is this a featured article" - well, yeah, it has gone through its share of candidacy stage. Thank you. --Ragib 11:02, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- Geez. I was just trying to be haughty. I forgot my last account's password. :( Zamkudi 11:05, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reverted edits on the Cartman page
You wrote on my talk page: "Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Eric Cartman, is not consistent with our policy on attribution and verifiability."
Excuse me, but what are you talking about? How did I "vandalize" the page, and what "sources" did I neglect to cite? —The Real One Returns 04:23, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to WP:India!!
Hi, and welcome to the India WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of India.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Please participate in any of our descendant workgroups that might interest you.
- The project has a bimonthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered in its entirety, but several other formats are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every India article in Wikipedia.
- Can you code? The automation department uses automated and semi-automated methods to perform batch tasks that would be tedious to do manually.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! — Lost(talk) 21:08, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
