From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Isaac "Zak" Ramsey is a fictional character on the long-running Channel 4 British television soap opera Hollyoaks.

He is played by actor Kent Riley and originaly appeared in Hollyoaks from 2004 until 2005, when the character was known as Zak Barnes. He then resurfaced in 2006, with his surname changed to Ramsey - almost certainly because of the arrival in the show of the seperate Barnes family during the intervening period.

Zak is a student at Hollyoaks Community College and is currently studying a degree in Sports Science. Zak wants to become a P.E. teacher.

[edit] Character

Zak is a sporty, spunky lad who is the youngest of four brothers. He's a tight bundle of enthusiasm and testosterone. He idolises both of them and they've clearly taught him everything they know about the three most important things in a lad's life- Liverpool Football Club, Lager and Ladies.

Zak's a hard-working, but hard-playing scouse lad. He never had any ambitions to go onto further education until a friendly Games teacher at school suggested he might be able to put his passion for sport to use as a profession.

He's a genuinely gregarious lad and enjoys meeting people. He likes the energy that keeping himself fit gives him, but he's neither vain nor arrogant. He's a simple lad with simple, honest tastes. He was moved into Olivia's room soon after she died. Funnily enough Zak has returned to the same student flat he shared with Zara Morgan, Lisa Hunter, Steph Dean, Cameron Clark and Bella Manning. From his first stint we also learnt that Zak has a brother who is currently serving in the British Army in Iraq.

He recently had a one night stand with both Zoë Carpenter and Jessica Harris. After realising his feelings for Zoë, he is doing his best to try and make things up to her, but this was soon ruined by flatmate Will who wanted Zoe to himself, and so set Zak up to look as though he had stolen from her.

After Will's funeral Zak tells Zoe he loves her and they start a relationship.
