Zahwa Arafat

Zahwa Arafat (Arabic: زهوة عرفات‎, transliteration: Zahwah ‘Arafāt) (b. July 24, 1995) is the daughter of Yasser Arafat and his wife Suha. Zahwa is named after Yasser Arafat's mother, who died when she was five years old. She was born in Paris and lived for a time in Gaza City in rooms on the second floor of Arafat's compound along with her mother. In early 2001 she and her mother left Ramallah and moved to Paris, where they live with Suha's mother. Zahwa is fluent in both French and Arabic.
