Yvette Chauviré

Yvette Chauviré the great French assoluta was born in 1917 in Paris. Died 1996. She is possibly the greatest French ballerina of her time. She was the étoile of the Paris Opera Ballet, and later its director. She is also the holder of the Légion d'Honneur.
