Yves Nat

Yves Nat (born 29 December 1890 in Béziers; died 31 August 1956 in Paris) was a French pianist and composer.
Nat studied at the Acadamy of Paris in the master class of the pianist Louis Diémer. He dedicated himself to chamber music, undertook concert tours with the Violinist Jacques Thibaud and George Enescu and appeared frequently in a duo with Eugène Ysaye. His repertoire particularly covered the works of Schubert, Schumann and Brahms. After 1937 he dedicated himself to composition and teaching activity at the Acadamy. In the middle of the 1950s, he recorded all 32 of the Beethoven Piano Sonatas.
Beside numerous piano works he composed chamber music and a Oratorium.
