Yuxie (ユクシー Yukushī?, Yuxie in original Japanese language versions) is one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. Yuxie is a legendary Pokémon that premiers in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The purpose of Yuxie in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]
The name Yuxie derives from the Japanese word for knowledge (智識 chishiki?) and the English word pixie.

[edit] Biological characteristics
Yuxie has a small blue body about the size of Mew. It has a yellow and round head with a jewel encrusted in its forehead, and in its Sugimori art it appears to be sleeping, or closing its eyes in deep thought. It should be noted that its head resembles a human brain, being that it is the Knowledge Pokémon. Like Emrit and Agnome, its partners in the legendary trio, it has two tails with jewels encrusted on them, and the only major difference between them is its head and its face.
Yuxie is referred to as the "god of knowledge". It is said that the wisdom that enriches the lives of humans was brought with the birth of Yuxie. It also possesses the ability to erase the memories of a person who lays eyes on it.[3]
[edit] In the video games
Yuxie is one of the legendary Pokemon in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It is part of a Psychic-type trio along with Emrit and Agnome. All three of them are captured by Team Galactic and are freed by the protagonist. They attempt to stop Dialga or Palkia from overwhelming Sinnoh later in the game.
After defeating Dialga or Palkia, Yuxie flees to Wisdom Lake, where it can be captured. It is at level 50, like Emrit and Agnome.
Among the three, Yuxie has the highest Defense and Special Defense.
