Yutaka Niida (新井田豊 born October 2, 1978 in Yokohama, Japan) is a professional boxer in the minimumweight (105 lb) division. His record is 20-1-3 (8 KOs). He is the current WBA world minimumweight champion.

Niida first won the WBA strawweight title on August 25, 2001, when he defeated Chana Porpaoin by unanimous decision.[1] Only two months later, Niida vacated the title, with the intention of retiring.[1] Niida returned two years later and challenged Noel Arambulet for the title, but Niida suffered his first loss, by split decision.[1] Niida fought against Arambulet again on July 3, 2004; this time Niida won the title by unanimous decision.[1] Niida has successfully defended the title four times since he regained it.[1] Niida's next defense is against Katsunari Takayama on September 2, 2006.[1]
