Yuri Zhirkov (born 20 August 1983 in Tambov, USSR) is a Russian football (soccer) midfielder. He currently plays for PFC CSKA Moscow and Russia natonal team. He has earned the nickname 'the Russian Ronaldinho' for his trcks and turns. Most notably against Hamburg SV in the Champions League group stages.
In 2006-07 season, he made 6 appearances in UEFA Champions League, and scored once.
