Yura of the Demon-Hair (Japanese: 「逆髪の妖魔 結羅」 - Sakasagami no Youma Yuura) is the fourth episode of the anime series InuYasha. It was first broadcast in Japan on November 6, 2000 and after in the United States on September 21, 2002. It is a continuation of the fight between the demon Yura of the Hair and Kagome and InuYasha, which began in the episode "Down the Rabbit Hole and Back Again".
InuYasha goes through the Bone-eater's Well to the modern era to find Kagome and bring her back to the past in order to fight Yura. Unknown to him, Yura has attached a strand of her hair to InuYasha's body and sends her hair after him. Yura's hair attacks, but because of Kagome's ability to see Yura's hairs, she is able to find the controlling strand for InuYasha to cut. Seeing that remaining her era will endanger her family, Kagome agrees to return to the past with InuYasha and work with him to defeat Yura. To protect her, he gives her his red cloak, made from the cloth of the Fire Rat, to wear during the fight.
Yura appears with a giant hair ball filled with thousands of skulls - her home apparently - and armed with a sword which cuts flesh and bone, but not hair. InuYasha soon discovers that while Yura can be physically injured, she can feel no pain and can easily reattach her severed limbs by using the hairs she controls.
As they fight, Yura teases InuYasha about his dog-like nature. When Yura appears to have killed Kagome with a blast of fire, she continues to goad InuYasha with insults, including that "A pet should not be allowed to survive its master.". InuYasha rips out her heart, but finds Yura still lives and now comments how rude he is for "grabbing the bosom of a woman you have only just met" to belittle his efforts.
Yura appears completely invulnerable until Kagome, who has survived being burned because of InuYasha's cloak, finds a red skull amongst the skulls of Yura's hairball and tries to shatter it. Yura's soul, contained in a comb which has taken the form of the red skull, is intrinsic to Yura's being, but she finds herself unable to control her hair-strands with Kagome restraining the comb containing her soul. Kagome breaks the skull and shatters the comb inside and ends up destroying Yura, who turns to dust. Kaede is waiting patiently all this while from Down the Rabbit Hole and Back Again.
