Yun Kouga

Yun Kouga (高河ゆん Kōga Yun) is a Japanese mangaka who started out as a dōjinshi artist for works such as Gundam Wing.

She debuted as a manga artist in 1988 with Metal Heart, which ran in Comic VAL. Over the years, she has gained a sizable fanbase. She is known for her use of shōnen-ai love scenarios and sci-fi settings in many of her manga titles, and also for her fluid, elegant artistic style.

She was born on July 9, 1965, and married a fellow manga and dōjinshi artist known as Katsuneko on July 8, 1992. Their daughter, Miyabi, was born on April 27, 1994.

New editions of Gestalt and Earthian were released in the 2000s. These editions offer a small update by the author, as well as new covers and several color inserts. The new edition of Earthian is being released in the United States by Blu Manga.
