Yumi Gunji

Yumi Gunji (郡司 ゆみ): writer, translator & businesswoman.

Noted for her vivid "cinematic" style and her natural, flowing, descriptive prose, Yumi Gunji is the author of "SAM" (愛編むサム), "SAYA" (沙耶の場合), and "MEGURIAI" (巡り愛).

Yumi has also translated the work of major Japanese authors including Yoshimoto Banana and Yamada Eimi: in May 2006 her translation of Yamada's "Bedtime Eyes" was published by St Martin's Press to critical acclaim.
