Yulia Lozhechko

Yulia Aleksandrovna Lozhechko (Russian: Юлия Александровна Ложечко, born on December 14, 1989, in Bryansk, Russia) is a Russian gymnast.

She began gymnastics at a the age of seven, coached by her mother, Olga Shirokova.

Soon Yulia's great talent was spotted and she was sent to train at Round Lake, as part of the Russian National Team.

So far most of her medals have been won in domestic competitions, like the Russian Cup but she has already competed at the European Championships many times, winning a bronze All-Around in 2005.

She also competed in the World Championships of 2005, making balance beam finals.

In 2006 she helped Team Russia to a bronze medal at the European Championships, but failed to win an individual medal.

Now Yulia is one of Russia's most prominent gymnastics stars and is working towards the 2008 Olympics.
