Yuka Murayama

Yuka Murayama (born 1964) is a modern Japanese female writer. She graduated from Rikkyo University and majored in Japanese literature.

She became a writer after working for various jobs like a real estate agent and a teacher at a cram school. In 1987, her first novel, Angel Egg, won the Subaru award that is a really honorable award among the literary world in Japan. After getting the prize, she produced many great novels, for example, Wild winds, Bad kids, Delicious coffee series, and so on. Angel Egg will become a movie next year.

Yuka Murayama lives in Chiba Prefecture next to Tokyo. She enjoys not only writing novels but also her hobbies, for example, horseback riding, growing vegetables, going abroad to broaden her horizons and so on. She is a very energetic and bright woman. Her novels always give people a pure feeling that remainds us of a lot of experiences related to the many people around us.
