In June 2004, Yui successfully passed Hello! Project Egg Audition 2004 with 32 other people. Two months later, she joined former Morning Musume member Rika Ishikawa and Tsunku♂ Produce Hello!Project Shin Unit winner Erika Miyoshi to form a new J-pop group, v-u-den.
In early 2006 she joined the new Hello! Project kickbase team Metro Rabbits H.P..
Okada casted in the Japanese film Sukeban Deka: Codename = Asamiya Saki as Tae Konno, released on September 30, 2006.
