Yufu, Ōita

Yufu (由布市 Yufu-shi?) is a city located in Ōita Prefecture, Japan.

The city was founded on October 1, 2005 as a result of the merger between the towns of Hasama, Shonai and Yufuin (all from Ōita District).

As of September 1, 2005, the city has an estimated population of 36,843 and a density of 115 persons per km². The total area is 319.16 km².
