[edit] Seperate?
Should Yuen Long District and Yuen Long New Town be separated in two articles, or as two sections in one article?
[edit] Source for statistics
Where does the statistical information come from?
[edit] Yuen Long Town
I think Yuen Long does not mean Yuen Long Town, because I know that Yuen Long is include Pang Shan, Tin Shui Wai, Kam Tin etc.--AP71 13:07, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
It is just what you "think". People live in Kam Tin and Pat Heung and Shap Pat Heung and Ping Shan might not agree with you. The problem here is that Yuen Long is a word carrying multiple meanings. Yuen Long Town is historically the major town in the area. The village in surrounding gathers together formed their own Heung. It is the reason why there are a number of Heung in the area. Yuen Long Town is just one part of area. As major town in the area, it is also naturally the administration centre and name the whole under its administration. In this aspect, Yuen Long District is used. Yuen Long New Town is the area defined by Hong Kong Government. The new town cover much larger area than the Yuen Long Town itself. Under different circumstances, different people might have their own interpretation. That is why in the very first day Yuen Long is a redirection only. It is better to take care of all major interpretation in Yuen Long article. — HenryLi (Talk) 14:09, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
