[edit] Trivia
Currently consider as "Top of the Tops" in the company, she is considered to be one of the greatest Takarazuka actresses in this generation and has many fans. When Hitomi Tsukikage, her second top star partner for Snow Troupe, resigned from the company, she considered resigning as well since she had reached the height of her career in the company. However, Yachiyo Kasugano, the most senior member among the performers (a member since 1929), persuaded her to stay with the company and she became the second top star in the company history to resign from the top star status but remains in the company (Yuri Haruna is the first case). In 2003, also upon the invitation of Yachiyo Kasugano, she became a member of the directors of the company, the youngest ever to serve the board of directors in the company's history.
She has a sense of "maleness" and this has been the key to her success. Not only did French men address her as a man, but a pet dog of Tatsuki Kouju, her co-performer in the Snow Troupe and the top star for Star Troupe later on, even mistook her for a man.
Starting her career with the Moon Troupe, her career began blooming while she was transferes to Snow Troupe. Like the younger stars junior than her such as Youka Wao and Jun Sena, she became the solid second for Fubuki Takane, her top star superior. Upon the resigning of Takane, she rose to the top of her career in Takarazuka stage. Currently as a member of the Senka, she may appear on the Grand Theater stage as special appearance once a while--her most recent appearance is with Jun Sena and the Moon Troupe.
She is the third top star that to be a partner with another legend Mari Hanafusa, but their time together were short due to the formation of the new troupe Cosmos Troupe in 1998 with both Hanafusa and Yoka Wao were transfered for the formation.
In October 2006, she performed Oklahoma! with Moon Troupe (including Hiromu Kiriya) at Nissan Theater.
She is a good painter and has held her own exhibition 3 times.
In 2007, she will have a concert (Lavender Monologue ) and perform the musical Kean.
