Yu Kwansun was a fifteen year old girl who was killed along with many others during the March First Movement in Korea. This movement is also called the Mansei Movement. It was a non-violent protest focusing on bringing awareness to the world about the suffering of the Korean people. Yu Kwansun was an innocent little girl who was waving a Korean flag on the day of the movement. Japanese soldiers retaliated and killed her.
