YRU-Up

A live, late-night cable access show for teenagers which features live callers and pretaped sketches. Billing itself as "Bloomington's Favorite Live-Late-Night-Call-In Show", YRU-Up was started apx.1991 by Bloomington Kennedy High School student Andrew Starks and BEC-TV Director Tom Ringdal. YRU-Up has been the "launching pad" for several people who have continued in the television and movie industries, including award-winning animators, Cable TV hardware and software executives, and Hollywood writers, including the team who writes the National Lampoon "Dorm Daze" movies. Produced at Bloomington Educational Cable Television([www.bectv.org]) in Bloomington, Minnesota, the show airs every Saturday (Late night Friday) at 12:30 AM U.S. Central time. It is also streamed live on the web www.tbc14.org
