You Brought a New Kind of Love to Me

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"You Brought a New Kind of Love to Me" is a 1930 popular song. The credits list music and lyrics as written by Sammy Fain, Irving Kahal, and Pierre Norman. Since Fain was primarily a musicwriter and Kahal a lyricist, it may be assumed that the music was by Fain and lyrics were by Kahal, with Norman's contribution uncertain.

The song was introduced in the 1930 movie "The Big Pond" and has been subsequently included in several other movies.

The song is a well-known standard, recorded by many artists, though Maurice Chevalier's and Frank Sinatra's versions are best known.

A recording by Eileen Barton, issued by Mercury Records as catalog number 5410, was one of Barton'e early records, but did not sell well.
