You Are Everything

"You Are Everything" is a soul song written by Thom Bell and Linda Creed. It was originally released in 1971 as a single produced by Bell for the Philly soul group The Stylistics. Their version became a top 10 hit for the group and became one of the most covered and sampled singles in music history.

The first significant cover was by one-time Motown singing duo Marvin Gaye & Diana Ross. Released as the last England single off their Diana & Marvin album, the song reached #5 in the UK ending a most successful run for the singers in 1974. It was never released as a single in the US.
