[edit] Summary
Lynn Anderson is best-known for her 1970 Country/Pop crossover monster hit "Rose Garden", which reached #1 on the Country charts and #3 on the Pop charts. Lynn Anderson successfully followed-up "Rose Garden" with a number of songs, one of them was "You're My Man". The song was written and produced by Glenn Sutton, Lynn's husband at the time.
"You're My Man" peaked at #1 on the Country charts. However, as for Pop success, the song didn't make it very far, only reaching #63. "You're My Man" could be considered an Adult Contemporary hit because it reached the Top Ten there, peaking at #6. "You're My Man" was one of eight songs that peaked at #1 on the Country charts during Anderson's career.
The album You're My Man became a very successful album for Lynn Anderson. It made the Country Album Top Ten chart. Even though "Rose Garden" remains Anderson's signature tune, "You're My Man" could also be classified as one of her best-known songs.
