Yorkshire Posts

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Yorkshire Posts is a website and chat site covering the culture and region of Yorkshire, the largest county in England. Founded in 1999, it has daily users from around the world. It was launched on Yorkshire Day (August 1st) 1999.

All discussions are archived and fully available to the viewer, creating a huge resource of Yorkshire memories and stories, created entirely by site members. New members are always welcome. Site contributors range from teenagers to people aged eighty or more.

Site members include people who are living in Yorkshire, but a large number are now living away from the county - many are expats - so the site describes itself as 'our international Yorkshire community'.

It has no relationship with the Yorkshire Post newspaper.
