Yordan Likov

Yordan Likov (born 1 January 1958) is a distinguished Bulgarian architect. He is part of the Bulgarian architectural company Studio 17,5, which was established in 2001 and includes other celebrated Bulgarian architets such as Plamen Nanov, Milena Nanova and Plamen Mihaylov. Likov graduated from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Sofia in 1983.

Between 1983 and 1990 he worked at "Sportproject", participating in the design of numerous buildings as "Sportpalace Varna", "Spartak swimming pool" and other recreational centers around the country. After the fall of Communism and the dismantling of "Sportproject" he briefly worked for "Dinasproject", where he participated in the designing of hotel "Ambasador".

Since 1990, Likov has worked with his colleagues from Studio 17,5 on individual and joint projects. Before founding the company, the team received the award for "Best project of the year 2000" for the French School "V. Hugo" in the category "Public buildings".

Their most notorious recent project is Mall of Sofia, which received the award of "Best project of the year 2006" in the category "Commercial buildings".
