Yokoshiba, Chiba

Yokoshiba (横芝町; -machi) was a town located in Sanbu District, Chiba, Japan.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 14,395 and a density of 428.42 persons per km². The total area is 33.60 km².

On March 27, 2006 Yokoshiba was merged with the town of Hikari from Sousa to form the city of Yokoshibahikari. The new city is in Sanbu District; Sousa District was dissolved with this merger.
