There was a specific connection between The Alter of Ger and the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Anyone have moer on this?--Reb Roovie 23:13, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

A Gerer vandal is reverting my edits which he/she is uncomfortable with (both here and in the main "Ger" page) and replacing it with propaganda that is inappropriate for Wikipedia. See "history" for some interesting facts.Ortho 04:05, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
Rabbi Yisrael instituted in the Ger sect - to this day - very strict guidelines for marital sexual relations. He also set up special councillors that would have a personal relationship with every hasid to enforce these guidelines. He faced sharp opposition on this issue from the other leading rabbis of the generation.
