[edit] This is not the standard vocalization

Please note that in the Hebrew language of the Hebrew Bible, the most common niqqud ("Vocalization") for this word is יְהוָה and NOT as it is depicted here in some sort of "artistic mis-conception". See also Tetragrammaton. Thank you. IZAK 07:42, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)

The standard Tiberian pointing does not indicate the pronunciation of YHWH, but only the pronunciation of Adonai (a "Q're perpetuum"). This is a modern scholarly reconstruction of the pronunciation of YHWH written using Tiberian vowel-points -- even though this system of vowel diacritics was of course not invented until the 7th century CE or later, long after the Biblical period.
