The Yezin University of Forestry (Image:ForestTekkado.gif), in the village of Yezin, a few miles north and east of Pyinmana, Myanmar, is the only forestry university in Burma. Annual intake is 50 students. Normally all these students are assigned in the forest department. However, from 2006, 100 students will be taken to address the dire need of forestry professionals in the national Forestry Department.

The university seeks prospective students from Myanmar for the preservation of Myanmar forest and wild animals and sustainable environment in ecology. Therefore, all of the graduates are in accordance with the special Bond to serve in government services.
