Yellow-headed Temple Turtle

The Yellow-headed Temple Turtle is a large turtle native to Southeast Asia (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, etc.). Its name derives from the fact that this turtle is often found near Buddhist temples within its range.

These turtles are aquatic and grow to over 20 inches (51 cm) in size. They have been reported to live in captivity for up to 9.3 years. They are generally herbivorous creatures.
