[edit] Michael Ross (academic)

Unless you could add a suitable biography of him instead of listing his contact information and a single quote, this article will be deleted. And please explain why you contested the SD please. --[|.K.Z|][|.Z.K|] 04:46, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

The issues at debate are mainly WP:N and WP:V. For example, list books or articles (not just websites) of some notability that mention this person. (I copied this here in case the article is speedily deleted too fast for you to read it on the article talk page). Mermaid from the Baltic Sea 05:10, 3 February 2007 (UTC)........

What is trivial about http://www.cambridge.org/us/catalogue/catalogue.asp?isbn=0521802156 and http://www.socialpsychology.org/client/search.php?search=simple&searchterm=Michael+Ross+PhD&searchtype=within The University of Utah won't accept Wikipedia as a reference, does it have something to do with this? Mermaid from the Baltic Sea is too easy. WP:N Says notable. How are my references not notable?

The first reference merely shows that he has published a book. Not every author is notable; people usually become notable by having things published ABOUT them, not BY them. However, if you wanted to add that as a source, you would add the actual book to a "References" section or something, not use the website that mentions the book as a reference itself, as you are currently doing. The second is merely a searchable website with many entries, and as a not-notable website, merely being listed doesn't qualify him as notable. As to verifiable, read the policy again. Most websites are not considered "verifiable" because anyone can make a website. Mermaid from the Baltic Sea 05:29, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
