Yasser Al-Qahtani (Arabic: ياسر القحطاني‎) (born October 10, 1982) is a Saudi Arabian football (soccer) player. He plays in the Saudi Arabian national football team and also in the Al-Hilal team.

In 2005, He moved from Al-Qadisiya club to Al-Hilal for about US $6 million dollars. This deal was the largest deal has been ever made in Saudi Arabia.

He played at the 2006 FIFA World Cup where he scored a goal in the match with Tunisia. He is definitely the best striker Saudi Arabia has right now, with his impressive dribbling skills, phenomenal speed and goal scoring abilities, it's not going to take much to raise up eyebrows of people.

There have been talks that he is joining club in Europe. In 2006 his club rejected a move for him to Persepolis FC of the IPL. Galatasaray from Turkey are in talks with Al-Hilal over a possible loan deal For 1 year over the summer of 2007 the decision should be clear in mid juin.

Most of the people in Saudi Arabia believe that Yasser should move to Europe to brush up his skills. They also have no doubt that he can effectively play in more well-known teams once he has a chance.

He is currently the second-top scorer in Saudi Premier League with 8 goals in 10 matches.
