Yassam

The Yassam (Hebrew: יס"מ‎) is the Israeli Special Patrol Unit (Hebrew: יחידת סיור מיוחדת‎), a police unit dedicated to continuou security, riot and crowd control and other special operations. The Yassam were heavily involved in the Israeli disengagement of August 2005, and have been under widespread criticism for these and other operations.
